Press Release – Charity Decorating

When the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity asked for help with the redecoration of their two 1st floor offices in Ipswich, Distinct Commercial Decorators leapt at the chance to be involved and support a worthy local Charity that helps those in need in the construction industry.

Painting & Decorating, Charity Project

Managing Director of Distinct Commercial Decorators - Tim Napthine and Lewis Sleightholme who successfully project managed the redecoration of offices at the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, Ipswich.

The successful Ipswich based painting and decorating company Distinct Commercial Decorators, has an excellent reputation for high standards with an extensive portfolio of specialist services including traditional decorating, airless spray painting, commercial wallcoverings and the latest string to their bow; airless spray plastering.

With the business continuing to grow from strength to strength, Distinct are committed to offering ongoing apprenticeship opportunities to help young professionals achieve their potential and receive relevant industry qualifications and skills.  To compliment the structured apprentice learning system, Distinct has introduced their own monthly incentive scheme which offers a varied work experience feedback programme aiding the confidence and growth of each individual.

The project at the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity was perfect for the winning apprentice team to get involved in, giving them an opportunity to organise their method of working whilst gaining valuable experience and responsibility in running their own project.  The knowledge and understanding the apprentices gain from the project is priceless, which is exactly why Distinct Commercial Decorators provided the entire service to the charity completely free of charge including all materials used.

Bill Hill, CEO of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity said, “As well as helping our charity financially by offering the free decorating services and paint, it is great to see organisations in the industry supporting an apprenticeship programme and encouraging people to join the trade.”

Distinct’s apprenticeship programme means that workers get a chance to manage their own project under the guidance of a site foreman and full support from the rest of the team.

Tim Napthine, Managing Director of Distinct Commercial Decorators said, “Working with the Lighthouse Club Construction Charity gave our apprentices a great chance to highlight their skills and means that we are supporting a very worthwhile local charity. Without the Lighthouse Club, many workers in the construction industry would have nowhere else to turn to in times of need. We’re honoured to be part of that”.

Distinct Commercial Decorators are keen to continue their apprentice award scheme and help further local charities in their community.  To find out more about the scheme or to discuss your charity requirements, please email your details to Tim at: info@distinctdecorators.co.uk.
